We provide an online software solution
so that subcontractors can easily estimate their building
costs. The system has been developed by a subcontractor
for subcontractors.

Our founder has worked in the building
industry for many years and could not find anything that
was written specifically for subcontractors. While some
claimed to cater for subcontractors, they didn't go into
enough detail, or produce sufficient information.
After searching for an estimating
system for his company, one was purchased for $3,000. While
it was the best available it still could not do the job,
so he sat down and wrote his own using Excel. While it worked
perfectly for him, he realised that others would have a
great deal of difficulty using it, and Microsoft Excel was
required to run it. This led to the birth of Trade Estimating.com,
the worlds’ first online estimating system, and the
first estimating system written and developed for subcontractors.
It took over two years to develop and test the software
for release.
